Global Water Depletion Based on an article about a book by Sandra Postel-Replenish Introduction Podcast Most of the water left on the earth is frozen in the form of glaciers in the Himalayas and snow on Mt Everest leaving just 0.007% of water for human consumption. The 2.5% of freshwater we have is slowly vanishing with the rapid growth of algae, municipal wastes, synthetic and harmful metals and agricultural run-offs into the ocean.
