STUDY TIPS I USED FOR MY EXAMS
Study Tips That I used For My Exams
My terminal exams just got over and since it was online, it was completely different from what it was before. My exams were really good but I realized the way I studied this time was really different. Not only did I change my whole study routine but I changed my way of studying. In this blog, I decided to share with you how I studied for my exams. Here are a few tips, hacks etc which for sure will help you too!
1. WRITE IT ALL DOWN
Writing notes or just the questions and answers really help in learning. Writing it makes the information go in your mind A.S.A.P. as you write it all. You could make notes during your class or when you are studying alone. I don’t think you should just do the question answers in your mind but write it down. It will help you to frame the correct sentence and it will avoid grammatical errors too.
2.READ IT ALOUD
Reading it aloud helps to understand and learn quickly. By reading and writing at the same time, you can learn something 3x faster! While writing notes when you are studying [alone😂] you can say it out loud. It will really help to remember.
3.DO PAST PAPERS
Doing past papers of your own school gives you an idea of how the questions in your exam might be like. Normally the questions are not very direct so the paper which was done last year or a few years ago tells you how it might be like. You can do the paper as if you are doing your real exam and then read your textbook after that and check the paper. Do the same marking scheme as your school. The questions in it are also a good way of getting extra questions. Past papers from a recent year is better than papers done years ago.
4.FIND ONLINE STUDY MATERIAL
Online study material adds a little fun to studies. You can just watch a video on youtube [which has content regarding your subject] or find a fun website that has a personalized journey. These kinds of sites have videos and quizzes. I like to do Khan Academy as it is very interactive. There are many websites for study material like:
5.ASK SOMEONE TO ASK YOU QUESTIONS
Doing questions tells you that you are not prepared with that subject or if you are perfectly prepared. If someone else asks you questions you can see their answers and can add those points to yours to perfect it. Sometimes we think we are well prepared but asking questions tells you what part of the topic you need to focus on.
If no one is ready to ask you, you can look for online quizzes....a website I used for finding quizzes [which had every topic] is Quizzes. There are many more, but sometimes you can not find your exact topic and questions from only your topic so it is not the best.
hope you enjoyed reading this blog and make sure you
try out any one of these tips so that you too can improve!
